Schoology for Executive Functioning
Tired of students turning in late work and missing deadlines?  Well, this course isn't about working miracles but it may just help! In this course, we will look at Schoology from the student perspective and how the platform's features can help students with organization, responsibility, and independence.  We will look at the calendar feature in Schoology, including how students can add their own events and color code them in alignment with AVID methods, how students can check grades, how to email teachers, and how to set up push notifications on their phones.  During this course, you will be given work time to create a Canva presentation or slide deck teaching your students to use Schoology to their advantage!

Using Escape Rooms with Students
Work together with colleagues to solve puzzles and try different codes to open up various locks, ranging from physical lock boxes to interactive games on the ActivPanel with hidden clues! Then learn how you can create your very own Escape Room that you could use with your students. Find out how the escape room was planned and learn about the online puzzles, digital locks, and physical locks that were used throughout the challenge. Using Turnitin Draft Coach to Improve Student Writing
Turnitin’s Feedback Studio is designed to allow instructors to deliver quality feedback to students while ensuring academic integrity.  No matter what you teach, from English to Business, this session will be a practical experience for any instructor who wants to better understand how to use the software within your Schoology environment.  Our session will begin with a deep dive into Turnitin Feedback Studio’s grading features and similarity report.  You will learn how to return quality feedback to students using QuickMarks, rubrics, and the ETS e-rater (automated).  You will learn how Draft Coach (Google add-on) can assist your scholars with the ability to submit their best work to Turnitin.  We will also take a deeper dive into reviewing and interpreting Turnitin results (Similarity Report) and how to create an assignment.  Please come prepared to learn!
