Podcasts are a great educational tool for students to engage with the content in your classroom. This presentation will introduce podcasts at all grade levels and content areas. Having students create podcasts is a perfect way for them to showcase their passion and knowledge, and simple tools for creating podcasts will be included!
Help teachers set up and navigate their Schoology classroom. Go over basics including Schoology expectations, assist in maximizing both function and form and learn about ways to incorporate both student engagement and parent communication. **Bring a device to class. There will be work time built into schedule.**
September is all about setting up and establishing expectations and routines for your classroom. In our digitally connected classrooms, it is important that students know how to be respectful, responsible, safe and kind when learning online. Making safe and responsible online choices is a collaborative, ongoing effort between teachers and students.
We will also overview district monitoring software to ensure you can keep students safe and on task. Anytime students are on devices, teachers can have a clear overview of their online activity.

Canva for Education provides access to templates and tools that can benefit all learners and also support an inclusive classroom for all. We will collaborate and brainstorm ways Canva can support what you're already doing and discover new ways to create materials and assignments that support all learners.
Work together with colleagues to solve puzzles and try different codes to open up various locks, ranging from physical lock boxes to interactive games on the ActivPanel with hidden clues! Then learn how you can create your very own Escape Room that you could use with your students. Find out how the escape room was planned and learn about the online puzzles, digital locks, and physical locks that were used throughout the challenge. Escape rooms are a great way to increase student engagement and get them up and moving!
